Ex2k7SP1 -  First Server in 2003AD domain. Connecting to server, sending email but not arriving.
Hi People, I hope someone can help me out here, I have setup a new exchange 2007 server on a windows 2008 member server on a 2003 Active directory. The installation finished ok, all the services have started, I chose the typical install with outlook 2003 clients connecting, and generally left everything stock. I have created all my mailboxes Setup a few computers with outlook Sent emails and nothing arrives in the mailbox. The information store is working because when I login as the same user on multiple computers I can see the sent items folder contains everything that's been attempted to send. I don't see a SMTP service is that right? I don't get any NDR's unless the time-out is not set.

Soudns like the Microsoft Exchange Mail Submission service is stopped. If not, try restarting it and the Exchange transport service. Also, run ExBpa in the toolbox for a health check of the server.

sorry for the delay, snow n illness and all that, alias I did not succeed with this one, I instead took the option of going ex2010, which did install reasonably well, but it cannot communicate to the exchange2003 mailboxes even being joined to routing group. However it does send and receive external email perfectly, and transferring users to the new server works a treat. Also the clustering support is much better on the ex2010 software so id sooner spend the effort on getting that working well. Just need to sort, activesync for the htc's and bes for the dreaded berries!
